Oh the trouble they will find...

SO some of you out there might think I'm a terrible mother after viewing these photos but trust me I didn't teach them these things and do not encourage it by any means. Ok well I guess photographing the actual scene is kinda encouraging but I just thought I should document the things my children do so that someday I can show them how absolutely crazy they, and maybe I were.
Yesterday they decided to figure out how to climb the chain link fence around our yard. Long gone are the days of feeling safe about the kids running out front without leaving the yard.
Mr.B at his best, he is CRAZY!!! Then the other day I made Corey help me clean out the laundry room, it was getting very bad. We pulled everything out and organized it all and now it looks magnificent!!! Anyways... When we were pulling everything out Corey hands me his fishing spear gun and says put this somewhere where Dallin won't find it. So I thought I hid it pretty well but no. The kid LOVES guns and this one was way cool and just had to be found. He played with it all day and even chose to stay home from the park to play with it because Mom certainly wasn't gonna let him take it to the park. We finished cleaning the laundry room and Corey had put the gun way up high on the top shelf way in the back where Dallin couldn't get it. After all it is a spear gun and has a sharp end. The next day we were looking for Dallin and could hear a faint call for "Mommy, I need you!" over and over. We finally found him in the laundry room on the top shelf holding the spear gun. He had climbed all the way to the top shelf by himself cause he somehow saw the handle of the gun sticking out. When Corey and I came into the laundry room he says, "It's not ours, No it's mine now." What a little stinker!!!

I just think this is a funny picture of Dallin jumping, it makes me laugh!!
They were supposed to be showing me their muscles.
Our ward had a Christmas party this past Saturday and we went on a hay ride and sung Christmas carols. The boys LOVED it!!
Don't mind the messy face, he really enjoyed his dinner.
The family
Then the other day Corey was by far the best Dad EVER!! He took the boys and the dog on a hike, then he set up his flight simulator and let them have at it with flying the planes, how cute is that!?! They loved it!
Then he made their fort just a little cooler! Now they can talk to each other from inside and on top of the fort.
I sure love this man, he's the best!

Last Friday we went to my parents to have our annual cookie decorating party. Corey was so creative and fabulous at decorating the cookies, I mean look at this little guy! Hehe;)
The boys sure enjoyed it too!
We went to the train park in Scottsdale last week and had a blast.

Quiet Toys...

A while back at church a nice sister in the ward noticed the struggle I was having with my children and offered up some of her quiet toys for my kids to play with. These toys were awesome and the boys loved them and it kept them quiet and busy for quite a while. So after that Sunday I was determined to get myself some of those amazing quiet toys. All it was, was a board with holes around the edges and a shoelace tied to one of the holes so that the child can thread the shoelace through each hole. Takes quite a bit of concentration and patients for the child to get it done and they love doing it over and over. So with my Sundays being as they are... Corey hardly ever there and two crazy boys all by my lonesome I was like I said determined to get me some of these fun boards. The other morning I couldn't sleep and stayed up thinking about all the cool boards I could make with some scrap wood we had outside. So that morning when Corey, who was home, got up I told him my plans and put him to work cutting the wood for me. I drew some funny cut outs on them and he went to work again cutting out these odd shapes. I drilled the holes and then glued this cute paper, that I already had, on to them and now all I need to get is the shoelace and they're complete. I made a few extra for my cute niece for her birthday. I know her mom will enjoy these "quiet toys" for church too!!!

Help!!!!

Ok so Corey and I have been talking and...
the name of our unborn child just doesn't feel right.
I'm just glad we talked about this before he was born. Apparently we both felt the same way but were to afraid to say something to the other, glad we got that of our chest!
SO......
Any suggestions??

Look what we had for lunch!

Delicious!!!
Corey likes to make these wonderful smoothies for us, aren't we so lucky!
Recipe:
Spinach
Strawberries
Blueberries
Blackberries
Banana
Cucumber &
Water
Look at that face, he's pretty excited to get some of that goodness!
This is what we also ate, cucumbers w/ salt, oranges and water.
And these were the results...

Then last night...
We went out to my grandparents house in Prescott and the boys did a little of this..
(like father like son)
So that my little brother could do this for his sweet girlfriend for her birthday.
We all pitched in and helped a little. My grandparents are so cute!
oh and the boys played outside in the little bits of snow they had.
It was a bit cold.
And then...
This is often what our bed looks like in the morning!
Somethings got to change!
and this is just a funny picture of Bryant trying to balance on a stool while coloring at Grammy's house. It was pretty funny to watch.

What is his problem???

So I love my little Dallin man but he has a very big problem. He loves to run away from mommy and it's not good!!! I'm writing this only to show Dallin someday the trouble he was to me.
Today during church he decided during the closing song, which was being sung by the choir he would take off running up the isle to the front of the chapel. Mind you I have been sitting in the very back of the over flow because my children seem to behave a little better way back there. So he takes off running up to the front of the room during the closing song, I start to quickly walk after him, leaving Bryant behind, luckily there was a YM sitting next to me and she took care of Bryant. SO Dallin gets to the front and turns runs to the other side of the room and starts back down the other isle. I turn around to go back down the isle I came up and he turns around to stay away from me. I am completely embarrassed and decided that this was not a game I wanted to play with him right now, not ever really! So I sit down in the last row and he sits down in one of the first rows and turns around to look for me. He looks for a while and finds me then laughs a little and waves hi. By this point they are saying the closing prayer and I look up just to make sure he isn't running anywhere else and there he is standing up giving me a huge smile and the biggest wave I've ever seen him give. I looked down and tried so hard not to laugh. But I couldn't help it. So today we were a very disruptive, irreverent family! I'm very grateful for a kind ward that always makes it a point to tell me that they enjoyed the show my children and I put on for them during sacrament meeting. It warms my heart!! But in all seriousness I am glad that they can laugh at it like me and not tell me that I need to keep better control of my children. If only I could figure that one out!!!

Any advice on how to get your 3 year old to not run away from you?

Just messing around...

Dallin and Max taking a nap together, oh so sweet!!
(however we don't allow Max on the furniture so this was a no no)
Bryant helping me baby sit my nephew Conner, he was such a big help and kept him happy for a long time. He was determined to get him to take the binki and he succeeded.
Max playing Santa Clause, silly dog!
Dallin being the reindeer, but he wouldn't keep the antlers on long enough for me to take the picture.
Bryant just being cute, with an incredibly messy face!!
Mommy and Bryant being silly!
I love his little smile!!

Oh man what a stud!!!
A picture I colored for Corey, cause I miss him!!!
The picture I took of myself for the snowball fight, see post below.
Dallin being a great buddy to RJ while watching the awesome snowball fight I made on the computer. RJ LOVES these JibJab videos and always asks me to make them, that's why the mean looking snowball fight face picture above was necessary!
And just in case any of you were wondering how I'm getting all these amazing photos of all my children...
My lovely husband bought me a camera for my birthday/Christmas present. I love him for it and I am not letting a day go by without taking a picture of something!!
(ok i know they're not that amazing)

Santa!!!!!

Tonight we went to a Christmas Parade out at my Grandparents house. THere were a bunch of cute golf carts decorated with all kinds of fun stuff. THey had Santa there and we were able to take a picture with him.
Looking at the Snowman sitting next to Santa.

What a CrAzY day...

Well I have had quite a day and it is only 2:45pm. Let me begin by telling you a little about my morning... It started off ok, but the dog got up way earlier than normal, 6:50am which wasn't when I would have chosen to get up. I got up let him out side and went back to my room, where I couldn't sleep cause the dog decided he needed to bark, a lot!! Then the kids got up and came in to bed with mommy and wrestled around, that was a good moment! I love playing with my kiddos in bed, it's a wonderful way to start the day! Then we got up saw that there wasn't much in the house for eating and decided that we would head over to the good ol' Walmart for donuts and shopping. It all started out just fine. I got my food, the boys enjoyed their donuts. I ran into my sis-in-law Carolyn, we chatted a little bit. Then Dallin asked to go see the fish. Well actually he told me that he NEEDED to see the fish. This has become a pretty regular thing with him when we go to walmart, and I don't mind because the boys love the fish and it's pretty stink'n cute!! They run back and forth looking at all the neat colors and shapes of fish. Now if only I would have know that a fish could have brought them so much joy, I probably wouldn't have a dog right now... Anyways... After about 5 min's of fish looking, I told the boys it was time to go check out, my cart was full mind you... Dallin took off down one of the isles so I yelled at him to stop and grabbed Bryant and the cart and took off after him. When I got to the isle he had run down he was no longer there. I looked up and down all the isles in that area and there was no Dallin. I started calling his name but I got no answer. I started freaking out!!! I hurried and called Carolyn and told her that I had lost Dallin and she was coming over to help me find him. I kinda lost it on the phone with her and broke down crying. Some man saw me and asked if I had lost my son, I told him yes and he said, "OK I'm a cop, here's what you do, go tell the service desk, they'll make an announcement, what does he look like..." and so on. I gave him a good description and he told me he would look for Dallin while I went to notify Walmart. So here I am big ol' pregnant Kari, pulling Bryant in my full cart, crying. I had gotten a few isles closer to the service desk and some lady says, "Is that him?" I looked all the way down at the other end of the store and there he was, standing there by the electronics hold a toy snake. I yell at him, "Dallin come here." He shows me his snake and takes off running again. Ahhh, My heart was already pounding, now I am running across the store pulling my cart and Bryant. I thought I was going to put myself into labor. Finally I got Dallin and let him know what a bad thing he had done and buckled him in to his seat. Meanwhile my wonderful sister in law had stopped by the service desk and told them about the lost 3 year old. So over and over on the intercom all you hear is "Attention Walmart Employees, we have a code Adam, 3 yr old boy..." I head over to the service desk to tell them that I have found him, then I look at my children... they both have chocolate smeared across their faces, Bryant has snot running down his nose and I can smell something very sour! I felt like "Mother of the Year". It was a wonderful trip to Walmart!!!
Then we got hiome I unloaded the car and was going to sit down to relax a little but the boys wanted to play outside so I decided it was time to pick up some dog poop, that fish is sounding even better!!! Then I can hear the boys but they aren't outside with me. I finish the picking up of the poop and go to throw it away and there are my sweet children, sitting on the sidewalk watching our friends across the street wash their car. I'm pretty sure I locked the front door, but why in the world would I think that that would stop those wild boys??? After telling them about the dangers of the street and going out front without mommy I decided that we should wash our car too. After all my neighbor and her children were having so much fun! So I pull the car out get everything ready. Locked the front gate around our house!!! And started washing the car. After a while of hosing down the car I notice my beautiful children putting all the change in my car in the cd player. So I stop tell them about the reasons why that is bad, get the coins out, get them out of the car for a while and keep spraying. After a while of washing Bryant gets back in the car and does it again! So now I have gotten the coins out of the cd player twice, and Bryant is no longer aloud in the car. I finished the outside and started on the inside, vacuuming it out and everything and just about when I was done here come the kids and the dog, jumping in the car covered in mud. So I got them out told them that they were to not get in the car again and I vacuumed again. Finally I finished cleaning the car! I thought for a minute about my nieghbor cleaning her car and how it looked like fun and then I remembered, oh yeah her kids are practically perfect and she is a great mom! But now the boys are resting and I am getting a much needed break from all that has gone on this crazy Friday!!
